In the ultimate Easter spirit, Auckland Council Movies in Parks presents Peter Rabbit. The special grand finale of the season for Movies and Music in Parks will have two showings of the movie, the first at 1pm and the second at around 6pm, when the sun sets. Take A Marathon Swim At St Heliers
SUNDAY 21 APRIL
The iconic event, ACM Marathon Swim, is back for another year this Easter Sunday. If you are feeling up for it, the swim is a great event to challenge yourself and your abilities. This year, the course starts at St Heliers Bay, before going around Browns Island, Motukorea, and back to St Heliers. The 10km swim starts at 8am but be sure to pre-register in advance. Also, note that each swimmer requires an individual kayak supporter in order to compete.
Go For A Walk
With an extra few days up our sleeve, Easter weekend is the perfect excuse to spend a day out in nature working up a sweat. We are blessed in Auckland to have an array of beautiful walks near and far. If you are keen to venture out of the city, there are plenty of hikes that you can spend the day enjoying. If you would rather stay central, Auckland also has many urban walks throughout the city to choose from. Either way, there is no excuse not to lace up, get outside and get moving.
